Workshop: meaningful storytelling

Stories have power: they touch, teach, inspire, motivate, challenge. Storytelling helps us explain complex issues and concepts.

Stories have been used to share messages throughout time. They are a powerful way to communicate who you are, and why you do the great work that you do. Your personal story can help to authentically connect your message to the people you most wish to.

We were joined by Andriana, a London based visual storyteller and animator, along with young women from across Europe participating in our Red:GLOW project for a three-part workshop series.

Watch the online recordings, where you will learn how to tell meaningful stories through video. This workshop is designed for any young person who would like to develop their storytelling, scriptwriting and filming/editing skills.

What you will learn

  • How to shape your story and about different storytelling structures you can use to tell impactful stories.
  • How to write scripts and how to create a storyboard to visualise and develop your story.
  • Filming and framing tips, as well as some great editing apps recommendations to give you the practical tools to help you bring your story to life.
