Join us for WONDER’s fourth annual fundraising gala at the Lansdowne Club, Mayfair.
This year, we are raising funds to support mentoring programmes at our partner schools and education facilities around the world. We believe that education alone is not enough and that mentoring plays a key role in the personal development of young women.
The stress of long-term poverty impairs good decision-making, which is essential if education is going to lead to a woman’s professional success and economic stability. One-to-one support has been shown to allow women to build positive habits, raise aspirations, grow in agency and confidence, and make learning their own.
Join us for a wonderful evening full of music, moving stories of women we work with and friends. The evening will start with a champagne reception, accompanied by a performance by singer-songwriter Helena Deans. We will then sit down for a three-course meal, followed by an exciting live auction. The evening will end with a set by DJ Billay, a resident at Lou Lou’s, Mayfair who will fill the dancefloor with groovy and powerful 70s disco classics mixed with house undertones.
