Kumbel teaches young women with limited opportunities the skills needed to secure stable employment.

Through our work with Kazakhstan Foundation for Cultural, Social and Educational Development (KFCSED), we have continued to support the work of Kumbel Training Centre. Kumbel welcomes girls aged 16-19 with limited opportunities and hailing from Almaty and the surrounding rural areas. They learn skills which will enable them to get good jobs in the hospitality, tourism and catering sectors.

Kumbel offers a 10-month vocational training program focused on preparing participants for rewarding careers in the hospitality, tourism, and catering industries. The program includes professional modules, life skills, English classes, and internships. Graduates emerge equipped with the necessary skills to enter the job market confidently and pursue successful careers.

  • Project focus: business skills, vocational training, mentoring
  • Year we started working with Kumbel: 2015
