Kumbel
Kumbel teaches young women with limited opportunities the skills needed to secure stable employment.
Through our work with Kazakhstan Foundation for Cultural, Social and Educational Development (KFCSED), we have continued to support the work of Kumbel Training Centre. Kumbel welcomes girls aged 16-19 with limited opportunities and hailing from Almaty and the surrounding rural areas. They learn skills which will enable them to get good jobs in the hospitality, tourism and catering sectors. Kumbel provides a 10 month-long vocational training program which includes professional modules, life-skills classes, English classes, and internship.
The training program lasts for 10 months and includes a complex of training aimed at boosting professional growth and developing life skills. Participants complete the program with skills that allow them to enter the labor market and build a career.
