Kamalini’s name and logo represent a lotus flower, a beautiful flower which rises from murky waters. This is the symbol of the women who come through Kamalini’s doors. They come from marginalised backgrounds, many of them have experienced early motherhood and child marriage, but through vocational training and mentoring at Kamalini, they can rise to become confident and skilful women.
Kamalini empowers thousands of underprivileged women in the Delhi region by offering basic education, vocational training and mentoring for women who have had to leave education at an early age. Our partnership with Kamalini focuses on making education accessible to more women by supporting scholarships as well as mentoring. The women who enrol at Kamalini receive 3 months to a year of classes and go on to start their own businesses or to get a good job.
