Key Roles and Duties 

We are looking for an experienced Salesforce Administrator to help our organization solve business problems using the Salesforce Platform. You will build, configure, and automate technology solutions to deliver mission value. Core responsibilities include supporting users, managing data, maintaining security standards, and delivering actionable analytics. The ideal candidate will be a certified Salesforce Administrator. 

Working closely with fundraising, program management and communication staff, the administrator will identify, develop and deploy new efficient processes. 

 

Salesforce Administrator 

Collaborate with staff and technical stakeholders to design, configure, and implement Salesforce. 

  • Translate business requirements into technical solutions. 
  • Provide ongoing support and training to end users, including the creation and delivery of workshop materials, demoing new features, and documentation maintenance. 

 

Manage the end-to-end implementation of Salesforce, including the overall strategy and day-to-day activities involved in administering Salesforce. Solve business problems using the Salesforce Platform.  

  • Troubleshoot problems and implement suitable solutions in a timely manner. 
  • Implement Salesforce solutions to solve challenges, improve processes, and increase adoption. 

 

Customize the user experience and manage profiles, permissions, roles, and groups 

  • Oversee all administrative functions within Salesforce, including the creation and maintenance of user profiles and permissions. 
  • Liaising with all the teams to understand their processes and requirements and create a system of interconnected relations between the users (Project management, HR, Finance, Communication, Fundraising, and Policy)  
  • Build a customized user experience to boost productivity and drive success. 
  • Create an effective training to grow the Salesforce skill set across the organization. 

 

Improve the efficiency of operations by proactively undertaking regular process analysis and documentation. 

  • Improve internal and external processes and efficiency in Salesforce using your analysis skills. 
  • Analyze internal and external processes and make data-driven recommendations for improvement. 
  • Possess a deep understanding of Salesforce products, processes, and best practices. 

 

Provide reporting on a regular basis to help users and executives gain insights and make decisions from Salesforce data. 

  • Create reports and dashboards to monitor data quality and business metrics. 
  • Provide data-driven recommendations to management by building visually compelling dashboards. 

 

Create processes to ensure data in Salesforce is managed correctly. 

  • Assisted in the management of data within Salesforce, including setting up validation rules and proactively preventing data duplication. 
  • Assessed and improved data quality within Salesforce, ensuring data was actionable to help users and executives make important business decisions. 
  • Customized Salesforce to optimize data. 
  • Plan ahead for upgrades, seasonal releases and long term projects 

 

Person Specification  

You will have:  

  • Salesforce certified administrator  
  • Fluent, professional-level English.  
  • Right to work in Uk 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to produce high-quality written materials and to understand and communicate with diverse audiences.  
  • The ability to work independently whilst being flexible to work as part of a busy and dynamic team.  
  • Strong attention to detail and be highly accurate.  
  • An action-oriented mindset and the ability to identify and solve problems in a working environment. 
  • Able to effectively communicate business requirements to management as well as development teams/external solutions providers 
  • Effective stakeholder management skills 
  • Good project management and organizational skills 
  • Good analytical, research, and conceptual skills. 
  • Excellent organization, communication, and presentation skills 
  • A clear understanding of Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) 
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office 

 

Desirable skills and experience (we would not expect you to have all of these) 

  • Knowledge and experience in relationship management 
  • Experience as a Salesforce administrator preferred. 
  • Experience managing volunteers 
  • Experience of QuickBooks and SharePoint 
  • Excellent project management skills and a positive attitude. 
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, and handle and prioritize simultaneous requests. 
  • Creative and analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills. 
  • Experience with non-profit processes preferred, including as a volunteer.
