Empower Your Team: Corporate Volunteering with WONDER Foundation, Featuring 1st Formations, Google, and Astrid&Miyu

WONDER hosts a variety of corporate volunteering days throughout the year, partnering with organisations and businesses that support the work we do.

Cultivating Team Spirit: The Benefits of Corporate Volunteering

By inviting businesses and organisations to our corporate volunteering days, we are able to encourage them to get involved in WONDER’s mission.

Corporate volunteering fosters team building by providing individuals with activities and opportunities outside of the office environment, which can promote stronger relationships and teamwork skills. Moreover, it allows companies to contribute positively to their communities by supporting local charities and non-profit organisations, such as WONDER. These corporate volunteering initiatives serve as platforms for individuals to share their expertise and skills.

Corporate volunteering is a great way to engage employees in meaningful experiences beyond their normal work environment, providing insights into the operations of various organisations and charities while giving back to the community

WONDER’s Corporate Volunteering Day with 1st Formations

In February 2024, a team from 1st Formations volunteered with WONDER. The day’s focus on Digital Transformation included sessions covering topics such as SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) and using AI to enhance WONDER’s SEO efforts.

The 1st Formations volunteers split into two groups, with each group presenting their final insights and findings to the rest of the team at the end of the day.

Last year, 1st Formations volunteered with WONDER, for a day centred around our strategies and content creation for International Women’s Day. This corporate volunteering day was a fantastic experience for both WONDER and the team at 1st Formations. It made a significant impact to the work of WONDER and allowed the 1st Formations team to see first-hand what we do.

Corporate Volunteering Day with Google and Astrid&Miyu in Honour of International Women’s Day 2024

On International Women’s Day, our corporate volunteering day featured teams from Google and Astrid&Miyu. These teams supported both WONDER and the Baytree Centre by undertaking various tasks focused on promoting inclusion under the theme of “Inspire Inclusion”.

These tasks included developing a TikTok strategy, drawing up a PR pitch for a publication around refugee migration and creating compelling content for social media platforms.

I think it’s really important to look outside of what you’re doing from a day-to-day basis in a corporate situation and get involved in your local community and help make an impact on women and empowering them to feel like they can have the right tools to then grow and get into whatever careers they want to get involved in”, one of the volunteers reflected.

Another volunteer said, “If you also want to contribute towards the cause and if you think that women’s empowerment is a cause that you’re close to, I would encourage all of you to work for WONDER Foundation”.

At WONDER, we are very grateful for the time given by these corporate volunteers to support our work as it enables us to continue to help the women and girls we work with.

If you are interested, you can work with WONDER on one of our corporate volunteering days and get an insight into the work we do and the women we support. Learn more about it here.
