Being and Belonging: Empowering Ukrainian Refugees

Join our conference on June 11th to learn how you can welcome Ukrainians in your community.

Do you want to know how to make Ukrainian refugees feel welcome in your community? Join us on 11 June to hear from Ukrainians, individuals who have been supporting them in Poland, and a range of expert UK organisations.

Discover how you can understand the real needs of those who are arriving from Ukraine, and how to offer support to them.

As WONDER’s Erasmus+ funded programme Being and Belonging comes to a close this summer, its many conversation-sparking events culminate in this transnational conference. The event will host our partners from Poland, Latvia, Slovenia and Spain.

At the conference, UK-based participants alongside young people from our partner countries will share a space where they can discuss the lessons learned in migrant integration throughout Being and Belonging, and plan for future projects in migration advocacy.

At Being and Belonging, Empowering Ukrainian Refugees, you will learn about welcoming:

—Young people

—Those experiencing stress and trauma

—Those with disabilities

—Those at risk of trafficking

You will also learn how to implement an empowering approach, both as individuals and at the policy level, which makes people feel safe and welcome.

If this interests you, join WONDER and out partners for Being and Belonging, Empowering Ukrainian Refugees. Lunch, refreshments, and great company will be provided!
