Carols raise funds and good cheer for education

Sunday, December 4, 2016

Last Sunday 4th December the Wonder Foundation teamed up with Ashwell House for our annual Christmas carol concert. The hall was packed with friends and families as the Ashwell House choir, the Psallite Singers and a variety of talented soloists on piano, cello and voice shared beautiful music, with the audience joining in for classic carols.

Mulled wine and minced pies were served halfway through, and money raised from sales and the interval raffle tickets all went towards supporting WONDER partner the Baytree Centre’s education and pastoral work in south London, as well as other WONDER projects.

During the concert, we were especially happy to welcome Jocasta, a student at the Baytree Centre, who sang her very own a capella rendition of Maria Carey’s “All I want for Christmas is you”.

Many thanks go to all who came to the concert, to all the amazing performers who shared their talents with us, and finally to Bodean’s, Bump Roller Disco, Johnson and Johnson who all contributed generously to our raffle.
